I'm Natascha Russchen. With NRdoet I help organisations that genuinely want to work on safety, but don't want big reports and complicated systems.
I work as a safety professional, trainer, role-play actor and trustee. Often on a temporary basis within an organisation, sometimes for a one-off assignment or training.
I look at what's needed, make it practical and help with putting it into practice too. Because just writing down what needs to happen doesn't get the work floor very far.
I've now worked in and for organisations for over 28 years. Not just on safety, but also with processes, projects and teams. That's why, with a safety issue, I often look further than just the rule or the law. Why isn't something happening? Is the agreement unclear? Isn't the process working? Does nobody know who's responsible? Or is something simply arranged badly?
Sometimes it means setting up or improving a safety framework. At other times, I am out on the workfloor, doing toolbox talks, assisting managers, following up on actions, or ensuring that agreements are finally clearly documented. In addition, I provide training and am available to act as a trustee and training actor.
I enjoy spending time on the workfloor. Observing, asking questions, and hearing how people actually do their work. I can write recommendations, but I prefer to help implement them as well. Whether it’s making a checklist, setting up a meeting, making information easy to understand, following up on actions, or working with a manager to see what could be done differently tomorrow, I’m happy to get involved. And if something is already well organized, I won’t try to change it just for the sake of it.
I live with my husband and little dog in Haren, near Groningen. My daughter now lives in Groningen as well. It is a lovely place to live and a great base for my assignments in the Northern Netherlands.
